A private tutor for more than 20 years in a variety of subjects from chemistry to algebra to Latin and logic, Jeanne has been a Wilson level I certified tutor for five years. Her Wilson students have ranged in age from six to 35 years old.
Jeanne has recently gone back to school to obtain a degree in special education and will also this fall take the first course toward Wilson level II certification.
Jeanne has a passion for working with children and young people. She volunteered for many years as a 4H club leader, wrestling club president, youth track club manager, Sunday school teacher, children’s science museum board member, and coop leader for several homeschooling groups. For eight years, Jeanne was the directress of a weekly Montessori-based program for preschoolers.
Jeanne raised a large family, including a number of children with dyslexia, whose struggles led her to the Wilson Reading System.
Jeanne loves to read and enjoys word games, and math and logic puzzles. Jeanne says reading to her grandchildren is one of life’s great pleasures.
